To obtain a temporary resident visa in Canada, you must:

• Have a Valid Passport - it must be valid for the duration of your intended stay in Canada
• Have enough funds to support yourself during your stay
• Have no criminal or immigration convictions against you
• Prove you have a job, a home, assets, and/or family you will return to in your home country

Additionally, you may be required to undergo a medical examination to ensure you are in good health and admissible to Canada. You may also need to provide a letter of invitation if you are visiting friends or family in Canada.
